New Delhi, November 2011: One of the largest textile exporters in the world, Taiwan, known for its innovative and functional fabrics, is all set to touch the Indian textile industry again with their annual Taiwan Textile Fair 2011 in India. Leading textile companies from Taiwan will be exhibiting a wide range of innovative, trendy and high performance textile products on 9-11 November, 2011 at SourceZone in Gurgaon, New Delhi. The Taiwan Textile Fair 2011 will unlock great opportunities in today’s exciting apparel business environment as it opens new business avenues for the textile and garment industry.

The textile and garment industry in the Delhi region accounts for more than a quarter of the value of the country’s total garment exports with an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 units. In the overall picture, the Delhi industry is mostly focussed on women's wear. However, with the domestic apparel market growing at 10% per annum, semi-urban and rural Indian markets growing faster than expected and urban consumers increasingly seeking branded and lifestyle products, the market is set to grow like never before. This kind of growth needs the momentum supplied by cutting edge products and that is exactly what the Taiwan Trade Fair brings to India.

Organized by the Taiwan Textile Federation in conjunction with Bureau of Foreign Trade, Taiwan and managed by the Worldex Group, the fair will be supported by the leading textile associations of India, such as Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) and the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI).
