13th May, 2011: Friday the 13th saw a glittering fashion show put up by the very talented team of Sasmira College. Sashaying down in creations by the Fashion wing, models looked absolutely stunning as they took on new age themes, cuts and experimented with textures and looks. The judging panel comprised of famous personalities like Lin Laishram, international model and actress, renowned fashion designer Lina Tipnis and Amol Shinde, the designer for Spykar jeans present also were famous textile designer Bhamini Subramanium, acclaimed author Nandita Puri –Om Puri’s wife and glamorous model Sanjhi Goswami who encouraged and enjoyed the show immensely.

Enchante’ the annual fashion show by Sasmira showcased the talent and propensity of their students. The show was a delight to watch and turned out to be a great success for the Institute. The second year in running, the students aim to reach great heights and convert this into an annual property!

Sasmira College has established itself as a renowned institute in the area of textile including fashion. It has a Fashion and apparel technology department (FADT) wherein a number of subjects related to textile and fashion are offered to boost the talent of the students and help and guide them to become successful designers and entrepreneurs in future.
