The number of Glaucoma patients in India is expected to rise significantly to 16 million by 2020 due to an ageing population and lack of early detection symptoms of the disease.

In light of the staggering figures it is very critical that World Glacoma day is utilized as a correct platform in India to elevate awareness about this eye disease.
