The academy has been successfully conducting training programmes to enhance youth employability and skill set development in rural and semi-urban areas and has improved life of thousands of youth across India. Launched in the month of May in the Civil Lines area of the city, GRAS Academy has successfully placed number of students in leading corporate and industries from its Sitapur Center.
Around 20 students were placed from Sitapur center alone. The students have been given an opportunity to gain experience in diverse sectors spanning from FMCG, telecommunication, IT, BPO and retail.
Recently a lot of corporate bodies and leading industries are recruiting students from vocational training centers. Gras Academy witnessed a significant growth in the number of students being placed from their centers in Sitapur, Kanpur and Lucknow.
Some of the students were successfully placed in Birla Tyres Pvt Ltd, Idea Zonal Office, Nokia Care, Vodafone, Dr. Rekha Goel Eye Hospital, Gupta Mobile Shop, Sahil Mobile Shop, M.B. Floor Mill, Harish Shah & Association (Chartered Accountant), etc from its Sitapur center. Some students from the Academy have become entrepreneurs.
Shikhar Srivastava, 22, a graduate from Premnagar successfully completed a course in Grass Data Master and managed to get a job at Idea Zonal office in Sitapur as a Data Operator. His monthly salary is 8000 Rs. Shikhar said “I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the entire team of GRAS. They provide an in-depth knowledge of the subject & provide great placement opportunities to us. After failing twice to secure a job, I finally got a job with Idea.”

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) is also associated with Gras Academy for conducting the assessments of passing out students and providing them with an industry relevant certificate, thus certifying their skill set which they acquire during their training at GRAS.
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has decided to fund GRAS Academy, which aims to skill 1.3 million youth in different trades across 21 states and 176 districts over a period of 10 years. NSDC would provide loan to GRAS for executing the project that will provide training in organized retail, healthcare, services, building and construction, automobiles and auto components, tourism, hospitality and the travel trade, electronics, IT, and banking and insurance.
Some of the courses include Data Master, Mobile tech, Account pro, Gras Comp tech (hardware & networking), Gras Tally pro, and Speak Smart English, primary and advanced.
