  Aamby Valley’s Cycle to Recycle Campaign
 
Mr. Narendra Singh completes remarkable 12,000 kms and now comes to a glorious end at Kanyakumari
 
Kanyakumari, 29th November, 2011: Focus on the journey, not on the destination. Joy is not in finishing the journey but in doing it.” It is with this undivided focus and steel like determination that Mr. Narendra Singh comes to the glorious end of his epic journey. Mr. Narendra Singh, an employee at 19 Degree North, Adventure Park at Aamby Valley City who has been cycling through the heart of the nation beginning at the tip of Everest and his final stop is Kanyakumari and hisfinal destination is in our hearts. Mr. Singh, one time Limca record holder and Mt. Everest conqueror had set out on this extraordinary expedition with the support of his employers “Cycle To Recycle” to spread an eco-friendly message.

Cycle to Recycle” as his expedition has been humbly named began on the 28th of September, 2011 and is not the first of his endeavors which. Mr. Singh who was atop the pinnacle of the earth, Mt. Everest for an hour without oxygen and what set him apart from all other mountaineers was his determination. On his upward journey a resolute Mr. Singh was able to clear an awe inspiring 500 kgs of garbage dumped by fellow mountaineers. On his present journey, Mr. Singh who not only aimed to complete a phenomenal 12,000 km approx with an aspiration to make it to the Guiness Book of Records but also created awareness among his countrymen about carbon prints and global warming. Supporting Mr. Singh in his endeavour, his dear friend Mr Ajay Bhola accompanied him in his glorious journey.

As he moved ahead he went into the green valleys of the Assam, to the city of Taj Mahal with the prayer to save the opulent monument. As he comes to the glorious end of his journey at Kanyakumari he has mapped the nation while he halted at Nepal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Bangladesh border, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Badha Border, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh he made all his fellow men proud and most of all his employers and supporters, Aamby Valley city.

On this occasion Mr. Singh humbly said, “As my epic journey comes to an end here today I hope I have reached the hearts of the millions and only then can I safely say that my journey has ended, my pinnacle conquered. The key to my success is the love and respect of the people along with the support of my friends, family, most of all my benign employers Aamby Valley city without whose support I could have never set out on this journey and last but not the least million thanks to my support staff Mr. Arvind Uniyal and Mr Deepak Pandey ".

About Cycle to Recycle initiative

Cycle to Recycle is an initiative by Independent India’s first planned hill city Aamby Valley to spread awareness about the importance of preserving environment and to remind everyone about the role they can play in saving the green cover. About Mr. Narendra Singh

Mr. Narendra Singh recently celebrated his conquest at the highest peak, Mt. Everest with his steadfastly supportive employers, Aamby Valley. With an aim of contributing towards the environment, Mr. Singh cleaned up 500 Kgs of garbage dumped by other climbers on Everest! He also created a record of staying at the peak for an hour without oxygen. After chronicling the same in the Limca Book of Records, he has now saddled himself atop a bicycle to journey through the heart of the nation from Everest to Kanyakumari. So, as Mr. Singh sets out on his quest to balance the scale of nature Aamby Valley City turns into the wind beneath his wings.
